16 March 1940 : A new Squadron Leader

As previously announced, the departure of Squadron Leader Arthur V. Harvey is confirmed on 12 March, following his promotion to the rank of Wing Commander. He officially left his command on 16 March to join No.14 (RAF) Group.

At the same time, Squadron Leader Joseph R. Kayll arrives to ensure the replacement. The latter is not unknown for the pilots since it comes from No.607 (County of Durham) Squadron, also attached to No.61 (RAF) Wing and based on the same airfield.

Patrols continue to Saint-Inglevert with two sorties by Pilot Officer Keith T. Lofts (N2306) and Anthony Eyre (N2304) lasting one hour and ten minutes.
